The SMC High School Batch 1974 stands as a remarkable testament to resilience and camaraderie, having navigated through one of the most tumultuous periods in Philippine history. When Martial Law was declared on September 21, 1972, by President Ferdinand E. Marcos, we were in second year high school. Today, half a century later, we find ourselves preparing to celebrate our Golden Jubilee on the very same date, September 21, 2024. What a poignant coincidence, one that underscores the significant and extraordinary milestone of our batch.

Our alumni homecoming will be a day filled with nostalgia and reflection, a celebration of the past fifty years and a look forward to the future as we age.
The schedule of activities is as follows:
7:00 AM-12:00 Noon: Registration
9:00 AM: Turn-over of Batch Projects c/o the Silver Jubilarians (Batch 1999) and the Golden Jubilarians (Batch 1974)
1:00 PM: Thanksgiving Mass
3:00 PM: Motorcade
4:00 PM: Presentation of Batches & Bequeathal of the Keys of Responsibility c/o the Silver and Golden Jubilarians to the 2025 Incoming Jubilarians
7:00 PM – 12:00 Midnight: Dinner & Alumni Party
For many of us, this milestone is a rare opportunity to reconnect, as some of us have only met during these homecomings over the past fifty years. It is also a fitting time to gather in prayer, honoring those who have gone before us and expressing our gratitude for the gift of life that we continue to enjoy. We thank the Lord for His blessings and for the journey that has brought us to this moment.

As we prepare to bid farewell and turn over the key of responsibility to Batch 1975, we do so with a sense of pride and inspiration. This event is not just a celebration; it is a challenge and a reminder for us to stay connected despite our age and the distances that separate us. Cheers to SMC HS Batch ’74 for fifty years of memories, and here’s to many more to come!
